The Binding of the Wolsey Gospel Lectionary

The manuscript gospel book for Cardinal Wolsey is bound in brown calf over pasteboard, tooled in blind and gold. The binding measures 415 x 310 x 35mm. and the pasteboards are 5-6mm thick.

Wolsey Symposium – Academic Roundtable Discussion

The roundtable held in the Upper Library of Christ Church, Oxford on the 12th of May 2017, was organised to coincide with the launch of this website, an online platform created to encourage the study of two manuscript books commissioned by Cardinal Wolsey in his later career.
