Whether you are a recent leaver, giving just a few pounds a month, or an Old Member with the ability to make a transformational gift in your lifetime, or as a legacy, we are grateful for your support. All gifts take us a step further towards fulfilling our Development Programme. There are certain societies and programmes set up to recognise your support and to thank you. Click on the boxes below to learn more.
TOM is our regular giving society, open to all alumni and friends of Christ Church. This society recognises those donors who are at the heart of the House, just as Tom Quad forms the heart of the College. Members receive an invitation to an annual event at Christ Church, and a pin badge of Mercury.
The Crankstart Society, (formerly the Moritz Heyman Society), is made up of recent graduates who give regularly to the House. Every member graduating in the last 5 years is eligible and Crankstart Members receive special recognition on the donor roll and an invitation to an annual drinks event in London.
The Board of Benefactors recognises gifts over £25,000, which can be given over a period of time. Membership is for life and encourages participation in development policy through discussion and consultation, and further encourages willingness to offer advice, connections and other means of support.
The 1546 Society recognises Members and friends of Christ Church who have informed us that they intend to remember Christ Church in their will. There are currently over 200 members of the Society, spanning most matriculation years from 1937 to 2014.
The Boat Club Society recognises gifts made to the Boat Club, and brings together its Members and current House rowers. The Society raises funds for Club equipment, organises drinks parties in Eights Week and other regular reunions.
