Please note that some facilities are bookable by captains only and that many require that a fob or key be collected or returned from the main college lodge

Please feed general feedback/comments to the JCR and GCR sports reps in the first instance.

MT 2020 & COVID:

Each team is required to create a risk assessment to cover both training and games at specified locations

These need to be discussed with both the groundsman and the Senior Treasurer of Amalgamated Clubs and thereafter communicated with all members of those teams.

Each team needs to establish a means of regularly recording attendance (and passing on details to the NHS test and trace service if required) and to check for updates on national guidance.

PARTNER/UNIVERSITY FACILITIES

Magdalen College Gym;

Available to all current members once they have been run through an MCS induction.  7.30-9.30 Mon, Wed, Fri during university term.

Closed until further notice

University Iffley Road Sports Centre;

The centre will open with a ‘soft launch’ from Monday 28 September – with members able to book gym and fitness class sessions. Opening of the swimming pool and track will follow shortly thereafter. Existing memberships are being extended to recognise the period of closure and new members will be able to join. Opening hours will be reduced for Michaelmas term due to additional staffing and safety requirements, and to ensure all members are able to get active in as safe an environment as possible. Members will be advised of the re-opening by email in the near future, and the Sport website will be updated accordingly.

New measures include

-         Compulsory face masks in all ancillary areas, until members begin exercise and immediately after exercise.

-         All activities are to be booked in advance on our new MobileApp, Online or by calling 01865 611476

-         Capacity will be reduced in facilities to facilitate social distancing and also in the reception atrium area; but advanced booking gives transparency on available space.

-         Lockers will be out of service, due to the time required to disinfect all surfaces in between all sessions.

-         We ask members to arrive breach or gym ready, to avoid build-up of customers in changing areas; on pool side only Village change will be open.

-         A one way system will be enforce, with colour coded roundels affixed to the floor routes.

-         Other typically expected measures will also be in force, with temperature checks available if at reception and an additional 80 hand stations.
