Oxford's Cathedral

The Cathedral is the College Chapel as well as the cathedral church for the Diocese of Oxford. The beautiful building is home to a vibrant worshipping community and hosts a wide range of events, music, art and drama.

Following Church of England guidance we are now open for those who wish to come to Christ Church for private prayer. The Cathedral will be open between 4pm and 6pm every day, but will remain closed outside of these hours. The rest of the site remains closed and you must enter via Medow Gate. Please follow the instructions of Cathedral staff and government advice regarding social distancing.

Concerns related to safeguarding in the Cathedral should be reported to the Cathedral Chapter Safeguarding Officer, Professor Graham Ward (graham.ward@chch.ox.ac.uk).
