Before you arrive
Undergraduates – documents that must be returned before you arrive
University Card Form
You should sign and return the University Card form by email to academic.office@chch.ox.ac.uk as soon as possible and at latest by Thursday 1st September 2022. Note that the form must be signed or completed with a handwritten or scanned electronic signature – a typed signature will not be sufficient. When you return the document, please attach a passport-sized photograph of yourself for your University Card. This may be in colour or black and white, but your face must be clearly visible and you must not be wearing a hat or sunglasses in the photograph. Once your form is returned and processed, your University Card will be created for you to collect at registration. This card is used to access the libraries, departments and to pay for meals taken in College.
Please ensure that your personal email address is still active on UCAS and not an address associated with your school or previous academic institution, as you will not then receive key updates.
The Student-College Contract
Please ensure that you complete the College contract that can be found at the top right-hand side of this page and return it to academic.office@chch.ox.ac.uk as soon as possible, before coming to register in College, and no later than 19th September 2022. Please note that this is a separate contract to any contract you enter into with the University, and undergraduate students must complete both. You should sign the document and return a scanned PDF of it to us where possible; a typed 'signature' will be acceptable if this is not practical.
Under-18 Student Authorisation
If you will be under 18 years old at 14th September 2022 you must complete this form and return with a parent/guardian's signature to academic.office@chch.ox.ac.uk by Thursday 1st September 2022.

University Card Form
If you have not already done so, you will need to return your University Card Form which was sent to you by your department. This should be completed and returned according to the instructions in your Confirmation of Offer letter from your department or faculty. You need to send your University Card Form to acreturns@admin.ox.ac.uk and it is essential that you return your University Card Form as soon as possible. Failure to do this will prevent you from, amongst other things, accessing your email, or the libraries in the College and University. Please ensure that the personal email address we hold for you is still active and not an address associated with your school or previous academic institution, as you will not then receive key updates.

All students – other actions to take before you arrive
Consent Training - Boundaries, Respect, and Positive Intervention
Consent matters. That’s why we’re asking all students to complete an online consent programme to develop your understanding, communication and respect as a student in Oxford’s community. In the short interactive course, you will learn how to recognise and ask for sexual consent, look out for others, and where to find support if you need it. This online course is compulsory and must be completed by all students before they arrive at Christ Church.
You can access the course remotely now. On completion of the course, you must send your proof of completion certificate to the Academic Office. Please note that the course you need to take is called Consent Matters: Boundaries, Respect, and Positive Intervention.
Consent Matters forms part of Oxford Against Sexual Violence, the University’s campaign that exists to send a clear message that sexual harassment and violence of any form is unacceptable.
Free, independent support and advice is available to any student who has been affected by sexual harassment or violence through the Sexual Harassment and Violence Support Service.

IT equipment
Please refer to the information on the University's IT Services pages about the IT equipment that you should bring with you. For students unable to afford essential elements of this, hardship support may be available from colleges. Students should alert the Academic Office to any difficulties before the start of term so that they are fully equipped by the time their studies start.
Online Registration and your Oxford University Email Account
Once your University Card Form has been returned to us and processed, you will receive two emails from University Student Administration providing you with details of how to access your Oxford University email account, which you will need to do before you are able to register online with the University's Student Self-Service website. Please do this as soon as possible, and regularly monitor your Oxford email account once it is set up, since email communications may be sent to you before the start of term. Students are also advised to sign up pre-arrival to the Eduroam wifi service if they can (see https://help.it.ox.ac.uk/access-wifi-eduroam).
New students are required to complete two steps to be formally enrolled at Oxford. The first step is an online registration process where they will check their personal and course details and supplement it with some emergency contact details, funding and career information. Guidance on the registration process can be found here: https://www.ox.ac.uk/students/registration.The second step will take place in College during Freshers’ Week (or slightly earlier for some graduate students), when colleges check they have all the required documents from students, e.g. passport/visa copies and other college forms before they enrol them on eVision. After both steps are complete, students will be able to download the student enrolment certificate. More information about the enrolment certificate can be found here: https://www.ox.ac.uk/students/selfservice
Registration with the College Doctor
Please read the medical information document as soon as possible, which gives details of how to register with the College doctor. We strongly advise that all students register with the College doctor, and registration should be done in good time before your arrival.
Students should notify the Academic Office as soon as possible if they have a medical condition which might put them at risk.
UK students should ensure that they have their NHS number to hand, and international students will need to register with the NHS to get one as soon as they can. An NHS number will be needed if you require a Covid test, and to help with the smooth roll-out of vaccination if they have not had one in their home country.
Immunisation
All students are strongly advised to receive a Covid-19 vaccination as soon as possible, ideally before arriving in Oxford at the start of term. All adults in the UK currently have access to a vaccine through the National Health Service – and international students are eligible to access it for free, regardless of their nationality or immigration status. Guidance for international students who may have a first/second vaccine before they leave home, or after they arrive in Oxford, is available here: https://www.ox.ac.uk/coronavirus/students/faq/graduate-offer-holders and here: https://www.ukcisa.org.uk/studentnews/1730/COVID-19-vaccination-FAQs-for-international-students-.
Please ensure that you read the letter attached to this page, which contains very important health information.
