St Aldate's

St Aldate’s accommodation consists of single study/bedrooms with shared bathrooms and kitchens (approx. 3-4 students sharing facilities).

The standard daily charge for accommodation rent (Board and Lodging Charge) is £25.27 per night, which includes utility charges.

The rooms are cleaned by college staff.

 

 

 

 

 

Liddell Building

Liddell Accommodation consists of single study/bedrooms with shared kitchen and bathroom facilities. There are usually 4 students sharing a bathroom and kitchen.

There are shops, a supermarket and banks in the area. The city centre and College is a 10 minute walk from Liddell. The University sports ground and gym is a 10 minute walk from Liddell.

Botley Road

Botley Road/Cripley Road/Abbey Road

The college also has a number of properties in the Botley Road area, near to the railway station in Oxford, which are managed by the Treasury.  These properties are a 15-minute walk from college and a 5-minute walk from the Saïd Business School.

One bedroom flats for couples comprise lounge, bedroom, kitchen, bathroom/wc and utility area.

Two bedroom flats for couples/families or two people sharing comprise lounge, two bedrooms, kitchen, bathroom/wc, although the 2-bedroom properties in Abbey and Cripley Road are slightly larger than those in Botley Road and have an additional dining room/study.

Three bedroom flats or houses in Cripley Road for three people sharing comprising three bedrooms, shared lounge, kitchen and bathroom.

All properties are fully furnished. The tenancy is a fixed term of 11 months from 1 September to 31 July inclusive.  Rent excludes gas and electricity, which are the responsibility of the tenant(s).  Eduroam is provided.  Council tax is payable if your spouse or partner is earning a wage.  Christ Church is responsible for payment of water rates.

Rents for these properties for 2020/21 are as follows:

1-bedroom flat (couple) - £770 per calendar month

2-bedroom flat (couple/family) - £945 per calendar month
2-bedroom flat (shared by 2 people) - £495 per calendar month each person
3-bedroom flat/house (shared by 3 people) - £495 per calendar month each person

The accommodation is not serviced by scouts and tenants are responsible for keeping the properties clean.

The properties are currently part of an ongoing refurbishment scheme which is due to complete in 2022/23 so we will have to move some tenants to similar alternative Christ Church accommodation in the vicinity for part of their tenancy until their property is ready for occupation (about 3 months), but this will be on the same terms as their tenancy, with no change to rents etc.

There is a waiting list for these properties and we are unable to guarantee that we could offer a room or flat to a graduate fresher as they are subject to availability.

Please note that we do not have en-suite graduate accommodation and room allocations are only made upon receipt of a completed financial declaration form with evidence of funding.
